Information we collect
- Information you send us. If you email us at contact@under2000japan.com, we receive what you provide, such as your name, email address, and message.
- Comments. Comments are turned off on this site, so we do not collect comment data.
- Usage data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
How we use information
- To reply to your questions, corrections, or partnership requests
- To keep the site running, secure, and free of spam
We do not sell your personal information for money.
We handle personal information in accordance with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI).
Third parties
- Affiliate partners. We participate in affiliate programs, including programs from online retailers. When you click an affiliate link, you leave our site. After you click an affiliate link, the retailer or affiliate network may set cookies on their site to credit the referral. Their own privacy policies apply.
- Hosting. Our site is hosted by a third-party hosting provider, which processes technical data needed to serve the site.
- Other services. We do not currently use analytics tools or contact form plugins on this site. If we add one in the future, we will update this policy to explain what it collects.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. This site may use:
- Login cookies. If you log in to this site (for example, as a site administrator or registered user), WordPress sets login cookies. They last for two days, or for two weeks if you select “Remember Me.”
- Affiliate cookies. We do not set affiliate cookies ourselves. After you click an affiliate link, the retailer or affiliate network may set cookies on their site to credit the referral.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work as expected if you do.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you have visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
How long we retain your data
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to object to certain uses. To make a request, email us at contact@under2000japan.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
